Governance

Katoki Foundation is a family-founded institution established to create a lasting legacy of human flourishing through education, knowledge, leadership, innovation, communication, and wellbeing. While the Foundation remains rooted in the vision and values of its founding family, it is guided by a governance framework that promotes professional leadership, collaboration, accountability, and long-term institutional sustainability.

Our governance model distinguishes between vision stewardship, executive leadership, institutional management, and strategic advice, ensuring that every institution within the Foundation contributes to a shared mission while retaining its own professional identity and operational focus.

The Founding Family

The Founding Family serves as the Custodian of the Foundation’s Vision, Values, and Long-term Legacy. It safeguards the philosophical direction of the Foundation and ensures that future generations remain faithful to its commitment to advancing human flourishing and sustainable humanity.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The Chief Executive Officer provides overall strategic leadership for Katoki Foundation Limited. The CEO promotes institutional integration, mobilizes partnerships and resources, oversees the implementation of the Foundation’s strategy, and ensures that all institutional arms work together in pursuit of their shared mission.

Executive Leadership Council

The Executive Leadership Council is the Foundation’s principal executive management body. It is chaired by the Chief Executive Officer and consists of the heads of the Foundation’s six institutional arms:

• Director, Katoki Institute for Ubuntu Leadership
• Director, Centre for AI-Based Services
• Director, Katoki Media
• Director, Katoki Health & Wellness Initiative

The Council provides collective leadership, promotes collaboration across institutions, coordinates strategic planning, strengthens organizational learning, and ensures that resources and expertise are shared effectively across the Foundation ecosystem.

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board consists of distinguished professionals, scholars, practitioners, business leaders, and community leaders who voluntarily provide independent strategic advice to the Foundation. While the Board does not participate in the day-to-day management of the Foundation, it offers to the CEO guidance, mentorship, and external perspectives that strengthen governance, innovation, partnerships, and institutional development.
