HISTOTRICAL BACKGROUND
The idea about the Foundation was born in 2020, and the Foundation was established in 2024, with a philosophy that just as light illuminates the darkness, empowering education illuminates the path to a brighter future. “Katoki,” in most Bantu languages, means a “torch,” symbol for knowledge, hope, and transformation. At the core of this thinking is the re-reading of a man, by the name of Ta Katoki, a name given to him by the mother at birth. The mother thought of him to be a torch, and indeed he was. He was the light through education, entrepreneurship, spirituality, and leasership. Read his biography HERE.
